Definitie

  • DIS is het geheel aan informatiesystemen om bestuurders te informeren (nl). Variety of techniques for communicating with drivers with the aim of assisting them in the driving task. These techniques range from conventional regulatory, warning and information signs, road markings and roadside post delineators, through variable message signs, to in-vehicle systems which are being promoted as part of a comprehensive intelligent transport system (ITS) (en).

  • Het doel van DIS is om de bestuurder te assisteren bij de rijtaak. De technieken die hierbij gebruikt worden variëren van conventionele regelgevende, waarschuwings- en informatieborden, wegmarkeringen langs de weg tot systemen in voertuigen die worden gepromoot als onderdeel van een alomvattend intelligent transportsysteem (ITS).
